SLS Storage Ring Optics

D2R55

Comment

This optics is very similar to D2R, which was used for quite some time with increased tunes as empirically found to provide better injection, and with chromaticities of +5 instead of +1 as required for suppression of instabilities. So D2R55 basically was a redesign of D2R for different tunes and chromaticities, with emphasis on suppression of the 3Qx driving mode. Also the bending magnet model had been improved. This optic was first operated at Feb 18, 2003.
