CORBA OBJECTS FOR SLS SUBJECTS

A number of CORBA application Objects have been developed for use by SLS Beam Dynamics Subjects. These objects have been built using the SII representation providing predefined interfaces to several APIs. A description of the objects is accompanied with listings of code that demonstrate their use. Remote method invocations essentially take on the welcoming appearance of a local function call, e.g. object->operation(arguments) in C++. Preliminaries such as ORB initialization and object reference handles are not shown. Fig. 2 displays the components of the software architectural model. An example of an IDL source file is presented in section 3.5 which describes the interface to the message logger server.
