Extensive
interoperability tests between JavaORB and MICO
revealed a misinterpretation of data when passing certain
primitive types over IIOP version 1.0.
The mismatch could be alleviated through a
realignment of the binary layout of the IDL data types.
JacORB, on the other hand, specifically claims to
interoperate with MICO.
Both JacORB and MICO also support the Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol which further adds to their appeal.
